Jaipur, Dec 15 (NationPress) Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma announced that the state government is fully dedicated to achieving the vision of ‘Healthy Rajasthan’, aiming to keep every citizen healthy, fit, and happy.

The Chief Minister noted that the state is actively developing world-class medical infrastructure, which is enhancing access to quality healthcare services in villages and remote areas.

Sharma unveiled the Heal in Rajasthan Policy, 2025, designed to promote medical tourism. He stated this policy will be instrumental in positioning Rajasthan as a dependable, accessible, and cost-effective destination for medical value travel.

During the launch event of various health programs, including a state health camp and blood donation camp at RUHS Hospital Complex on Monday, he celebrated the government's two-year milestone.

Sharma highlighted that for the past two years, the government has been committed to service, transparency, and prioritizing the needs of common citizens in every policy and development initiative to ensure good governance.

To commemorate the two-year anniversary, several significant healthcare initiatives were introduced, including the opening of a Critical Care Block at RUHS, built at a cost of Rs 20 crore.

This facility includes ICU beds, emergency care units, advanced ventilator systems, modular operating theatres, and dialysis services.

The state is organizing health camps in locations from medical colleges to sub-centres, screening individuals over 30 for BMI, blood pressure, blood sugar, and common cancers, with treatments and medications provided at no cost.

The Chief Minister praised blood donors for their noble service, emphasizing that there is no replacement for blood. Blood donation camps are being held in district headquarters and tehsil levels across the state.

He affirmed that the double-engine government at both the Centre and State is devoted to the welfare and dignity of persons with disabilities, acknowledging Prime Minister Narendra Modi for enhancing social respect by referring to them as Divyang.

In two consecutive budgets, the state government has promised to provide artificial limbs and assistive devices worth up to Rs 20,000 to 1.5 lakh individuals with disabilities, with swift progress being made on this commitment. Under the National Health Mission, a Hub and Spoke model is being implemented to offer free diagnostic tests.

More than 100 specialized tests—including Troponin, cancer markers, biopsy, vitamins, thalassemia, haemophilia, hepatitis, and thyroid tests—will be available at no charge in government hospitals. The state has identified 42 mother labs, 137 hub labs, and 1,333 spokes.

On this occasion, 11 mother labs and 400 spokes were inaugurated. The entire diagnostic process, from sample collection to reporting, will be digitized, allowing patients to access their reports online from home.

To celebrate the completion of two years in office, a FCM injection campaign has been launched statewide to combat anaemia among pregnant women.

Additionally, an eye-examination initiative for students in all government schools has commenced, providing free spectacles and screening for thalassemia and sickle cell disease.

The Chief Minister stated that the government is rapidly advancing towards transforming Rajasthan’s healthcare system. Over the past two years, 35,000 posts have been filled in the Medical and Health Department, with recruitment for an additional 15,000 posts currently in progress.

Moreover, 132 new treatment packages have been added under the Chief Minister’s Ayushman Arogya Yojana, benefiting over 35 lakh individuals with cashless medical services.

I believe that the initiatives announced by the Rajasthan government reflect a strong commitment to improving healthcare access and quality. The focus on transparency and citizen-centric policies is noteworthy, and these efforts are crucial for ensuring the wellbeing of the population.
