Jaipur, Feb 11 (NationPress) Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde, together with his family, performed a holy dip at the revered confluence of Triveni Sangam during the Maha Kumbh Mela on Tuesday.
The spiritual significance of this ancient ritual, deeply embedded in Indian Sanatan culture, inspired the Governor's reflections on the occasion.
Reflecting on the spiritual and cultural essence of the Maha Kumbh bath, the Governor stressed that this sacred practice reconnects individuals with their cultural and spiritual roots.
"Bathing at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the unseen Saraswati purifies not only the body but also the soul," he stated.
The Maha Kumbh, recognized as one of the largest religious gatherings globally, showcases the unwavering faith and devotion of millions. The Governor pointed out that this grand assembly acts as a soulful gathering for those who earnestly believe in and adhere to the Indian Sanatan tradition.

On Saturday, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, alongside his Cabinet colleagues and BJP MLAs, also participated in a dip at Triveni Sangam during the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj.
The Rajasthan Cabinet resolved to allocate Rs 101 crore for the renovation of temples under state management and to increase the honorarium for part-time priests.
These decisions were part of a series of resolutions concerning the Devasthan Department during a meeting held in Prayagraj after Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and other ministers took a holy dip at the Maha Kumbh.
It was determined that the funds for service, worship, offerings, bhog, prasad, festivals, attire, water, lighting, and security operations would be doubled to Rs 3,000 per month for 390 temples directly managed by the Devasthan Department, as well as 203 self-sufficient temples.
