Jaipur, Oct 29 (NationPress) The Rajasthan Education Department is set to host a grand parent-teacher meeting (PTM) on October 31 across all government schools in the state, with the purpose of enhancing communication between teachers and parents while assessing students' academic progress, attendance, and behavior, as confirmed by officials on Wednesday.

This meeting will kick off at 10 a.m. in all government schools simultaneously and is part of the 'Prakhar Rajasthan Abhiyan 2.0', which emphasizes community involvement in education and aims to elevate the quality of learning outcomes.

According to officials, the PTM will allow parents to gain insights into their children's academic performance, discipline, and attendance, while teachers will present strategies to foster student learning.

The initiative will also feature a Sri Krishna Bhog, organized under the mid-day meal program in schools.

Parents are encouraged to contribute to this bhog during their children's birthdays, wedding anniversaries, or other significant occasions, which promotes a sense of involvement and ownership in school activities.

The Education Department noted that this Bhog aims to strengthen parent-school connections and motivate new parents to enroll their children in government schools.

Teachers have been tasked with utilizing this occasion to increase school enrollment and bolster community ties.

Officials have provided guidelines for organizing the Sri Krishna Bhog under the Mid-Day Meal Scheme.

The Prakhar Rajasthan Abhiyan 2.0, initiated on September 5 to enhance basic literacy and numeracy, will run until December 5 across the state.

In light of this, all institution heads have been directed to conduct maximum Sri Krishna Bhog events at their respective schools to encourage community participation and elevate parental engagement in education.

During the Mega PTM, schools will also showcase cultural performances, debates, essay writing, painting, and competitions for posters and slogans.

An exhibition displaying student achievements will highlight learning outcomes, exam performances, and creative projects.

Teachers will also inform parents about future academic plans and educational objectives.

This event coincides with National Unity Day (October 31), which honors the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

Participants will take the National Unity Pledge, and short films promoting national integration and social harmony will be screened to instill values of unity and diversity among students.
