New Delhi, June 4 (NationPress) A multitude of devotees have assembled in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, for the second day to witness the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Darbar at the magnificent Ram temple.
The three-day consecration event, which commenced on June 3 (Tuesday), is scheduled to conclude on June 5, aligning with Ganga Dussehra, a significant day in the Hindu calendar.
The ritualistic installation of Lord Ram, Sita, Lakshman, and Hanuman on the temple's first floor is being performed in adherence to ancient Vedic customs and traditions.
Saint Mithilesh Nandani Sharan, closely involved with the rituals, highlighted the spiritual importance of this event.
"Following the ceremonial enthronement of Shri Ram Lalla in the main sanctum (Garbhagriha) on the ground floor of the temple, devotees nationwide eagerly anticipated the consecration of the remaining complex, particularly the Ram Darbar on the first floor," stated Saint Mithilesh Nandani Sharan.
“In accordance with established Vedic rituals and traditional practices of Pran Pratishtha, with deep devotion, the divine couple, Sita-Ram, are being installed, alongside Hanuman Ji Maharaj and Lakshman Ji.”
Besides the Ram Darbar, six to eight additional shrines within the temple complex are also undergoing consecration. These include idols of esteemed sages (Rishis), companions like Nishadraj and Mata Shabari, as well as the statue of Swami Shri Tulsidas Ji Maharaj, according to Sharan.
“These consecrations not only elevate the splendor of the Shri Ram Temple but also reflect the spiritual consciousness stirred by the Ramayana," Sharan further remarked.
The security arrangements in Ayodhya have been notably enhanced. The temple has been classified as a red zone, with the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), armored vehicles, and three-shift surveillance teams positioned across the city to ensure the safety of pilgrims and saints.
The ceremonies were preceded by a spectacular religious procession from the banks of the Saryu River on Monday, which attracted massive crowds and set a celebratory tone for the Pran Pratishtha festivities.
Saint Mithilesh Nandani Sharan also praised the contributions of the nation's leadership. “In the illustrious history of Ayodhya’s revival, Yogi Ji Maharaj’s name is inscribed in golden letters. Thanks to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Ji Maharaj, we are witnessing and celebrating this moment. This should be recognized as a pivotal moment in the cultural renaissance of New India.
