Jaipur, Jan 24 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Bhajan Lal Sharma, took part in the Ram Katha and Gau Mahotsav held in Kota on Saturday, alongside spiritual leader Dhirendra Shastri, the Peethadheeshwar of Bageshwar Dham.
During his address, the Chief Minister emphasized that Ram Katha transcends a mere religious narrative; it serves as a comprehensive guide for leading a meaningful and disciplined life.
He pointed out that Ram Katha imparts lessons on the responsibilities of a son, the love of a brother, the devotion of a husband, and the duties of an exemplary ruler.
"By embracing the ideals of Shri Ram in everyday life, society can align itself with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of Ram Rajya," he stated.
Highlighting the principles of Sanatan culture, CM Sharma noted its deep connection to nature, including traditions of reverence for rivers, mountains, trees, and the Mother Cow.
Listening to Ram Katha, he said, is a tremendous blessing and a source of spiritual growth.
In his praise for Dhirendra Shastri, the Chief Minister remarked, "Through his heartfelt and impactful words, Shastri ji has lit the lamp of Dharma in the lives of countless individuals. His distinct approach has made Sanatan Dharma more accessible to the general populace and has been pivotal in engaging the youth with India's rich cultural and spiritual legacy."
During the event, Dhirendra Shastri honored the Chief Minister with a shawl as a gesture of respect.
The occasion was graced by notable figures including Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Rajasthan School Education Minister Madan Dilawar, State Minister of State for Energy Hiralal Nagar, BJP MLA Kalpana Devi, along with numerous Hindu saints, mahants, and a large gathering of devotees.
Sharing his experience on the social media platform X, Chief Minister Sharma expressed, "I was fortunate to attend the discourse at the 'Shri Ram Katha Mahotsav' on the sacred grounds of Ramganjmandi in Kota, in the presence of the esteemed Peethadhish of Bageshwar Dham, Dhirendra Krishna Shastri Ji. I prayed for the grace of Shri Ram to bring prosperity to every part of Rajasthan. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and other dignitaries were also present for this auspicious event. When the story of Lord Ram resonates, it purifies the mind and fills the soul with devotion."
