Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Wednesday, 3 September called upon every Shiv Sena office-bearer and worker across the country to carry the party's welfare agenda to the last person in society, reinforcing that Shiv Sena is fundamentally a party of the common man. The directive came during a review meeting of State Shiv Sena Presidents held in New Delhi.

Key Directives from the Meeting

Deputy CM Shinde instructed party leaders to work effectively on critical issues including education, sports, employment, women's welfare, healthcare, water, roads, and agriculture. He also made clear that office-bearers should be prepared to lead agitations 'in Shiv Sena style' in their respective states whenever necessary to secure justice for the public.

Notably, Shinde announced that Shiv Sena will donate ambulances across 25 states in the country — a move aimed at demonstrating the party's commitment to grassroots healthcare access.

Membership Drive and Organisational Push

To deepen the party's reach, Shinde directed that a widespread Shiv Sena Membership Drive be launched across all states to ensure the party penetrates to the last village and household. He also ordered that appointments of key functionaries — including state-level office-bearers, women's wing chiefs, Yuva Sena leadership, and heads of other affiliated organisations — be completed immediately.

State chiefs were instructed to submit a concrete Action Plan to the party leadership within the next two months, tailored to the political and social conditions as well as upcoming elections in their respective states.

Sports and Civic Engagement

To strengthen the party's grassroots base, Shinde advised organising state-level sports competitions across various states over the coming months. Office-bearers were also urged to take direct initiative in resolving daily civic issues such as drinking water supply, road repairs, healthcare services, solid waste management, school maintenance, and clean public toilets.

PM Modi Birthday Celebrations Planned Nationwide

All state chiefs expressed determination to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday and his 25 years of public service on a grand scale through social welfare programmes. During the dedicated service week, blood donation camps, health drives, and job fairs for youth are planned nationwide, alongside distribution of notebooks and educational materials to underprivileged students.

'Shiv Sena office-bearers work not just for politics, but for social welfare. Strengthening the party network down to the booth level and rushing to the aid of people in their times of need is our ultimate goal,' Shinde reiterated to the assembled state leaders. With organisational deadlines now set and an ambitious membership drive underway, the coming months will test whether the party's grassroots ambitions translate into measurable ground presence.
