Patna, Nov 7 (NationPress) Union Home Minister Amit Shah unleashed a fierce critique of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) during a rally in Bhagalpur, cautioning citizens about the ominous resurgence of 'jungle raj' if the Grand Alliance, led by Lalu Yadav's party, regains power in the state.
Speaking at the Pirpainti rally, Amit Shah remarked that while the 'jungle raj' phase of the RJD had faded into obscurity over the years, it was poised to return in a transformed manner. He urged the public to be wary of the 'grand and populist' promises from the Mahagathbandhan.
“Your single vote could empower them and contribute to the revival of 'jungle raj',” Shah declared, criticizing the alliance between RJD and Congress.
He pointed to the 'tainted' backgrounds of Mahagathbandhan leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav, suggesting that their mentors are eager to place them in power.
“They indulge in corruption; we focus on development. Lalu ji aspires to make his son the Chief Minister, while Sonia ji wishes for her son to be the Prime Minister,” he stated.
“Mark my words: neither Rahul will ascend to the Prime Minister's office, nor will Tejashwi become the Chief Minister. Modi ji is in Delhi, and Nitish Kumar ji is in Bihar,” he added.
The Home Minister contrasted the 'jungle raj' of the RJD era with the 'sushashan' under Nitish Kumar's governance, highlighting various initiatives and programs launched by the double-engine government aimed at uplifting the impoverished and agricultural communities.
“We established the Makahana Board, revived power plants including the Barauni plant, and rejuvenated some sugar mills,” he said.
He reiterated the Centre's commitment to establish sugar mills in regions with sufficient water supply.
“People of Bhagalpur, wherever there's water, the Modi government will commence operations for 25 new sugar mills,” he promised.
