New Delhi, Nov 9 (NationPress) President Droupadi Murmu on Sunday expressed her warm congratulations to the people of Uttarakhand as they commemorate the silver jubilee of the state's foundation day, lauding its unmatched contributions to the nation's illustrious spiritual and cultural journey.

Uttarakhand, known as Devbhoomi (the land of Gods), was formed from Uttar Pradesh on November 9, 2000, marking its status as the 27th state of India.

As the state celebrates 25 remarkable years since its inception, this day symbolizes its evolution from a grassroots movement to an exemplar of harmonious development, faith, and contemporary progress.

In a message posted on X, President Murmu remarked, "On this significant occasion of the silver jubilee of the state's establishment, I convey my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all the residents of the courageous Devbhoomi Uttarakhand."
