Patna, Nov 18 (NationPress) Rohini Acharya, daughter of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, has fiercely criticized Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Yadav for belittling her despite her selfless act of donating a kidney to her father.
She issued a bold challenge to the RJD MP, urging him to donate his kidney to someone in desperate need.
In a message shared via her official X account, along with an audio clip, Rohini Acharya claimed that individuals attempting to exploit Lalu Prasad's legacy for political gain should first exhibit true compassion.
"Anyone wanting to contribute in Lalu's name should refrain from displaying insincere sympathy and instead step up to donate their kidneys to the countless underprivileged individuals who are fighting for their lives in hospitals. Donate your kidneys in Lalu's name," she stated.
She extended a challenge to her detractors, urging them to face her directly: "Those who accuse the married daughter who selflessly donated her kidney to her father should have the courage to engage in an open debate with me. The noble act of kidney donation ought to be initiated by those who label a daughter’s kidney donation as unclean, followed by so-called Haryanvi leaders, sycophantic journalists, and abusive trolls from Haryana."
In a pointed criticism, Rohini Acharya remarked, "Those whose blood runs cold at the thought of donating even a bottle of blood preach about kidney donations?"
Her comments arise amidst ongoing turmoil within the RJD following the party's recent electoral losses, with Sanjay Yadav facing significant backlash from party members and the Yadav family.
Previously, on November 15, following the RJD's substantial defeat in the Bihar Assembly elections, Rohini Acharya, who donated a kidney to Lalu Prasad Yadav in 2022, departed the family home and made serious allegations before traveling to Delhi.
She claimed she was threatened with physical harm at the Lalu–Rabri residence and accused Tejashwi Yadav, along with his close aides Sanjay Yadav and Rameez Nemat Khan, of being behind this.
Rohini Acharya alleged that Tejashwi's associates have effectively banished her from the Yadav family.
At a press conference at Patna airport on November 15, she stated, "I no longer have a family here. Inquire with Sanjay Yadav, Rameez, and Tejashwi Yadav as to why I am leaving home. They have cast me out."
She accused Tejashwi's advisors of trying to play the role of Chanakya while evading responsibility for the party's defeat.
The nation is questioning how the party has reached such a state, she emphasized.
She mentioned that RJD workers are scrutinizing Sanjay Yadav's involvement in the Bihar electoral loss and that raising such concerns has led to threats against her, including defamation and violence.
Rohini Acharya's departure has highlighted the actions of Sanjay Yadav, a native of Haryana and RJD Rajya Sabha MP, and Rameez Nemat Khan, a long-term aide to Tejashwi Yadav.
Rameez, originally from Balrampur district in Uttar Pradesh, has been part of the RJD since 2016.
