Jabalpur, Nov 1 (NationPress) The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) General Secretary, Dattatreya Hosabale, announced on Saturday that the organization has effectively established 10,000 new shakhas for its initiatives since the last conference held in October 2024.
The RSS leader revealed that a total of 87,398 daily shakhas are now being conducted at 55,052 locations, marking an increase of 15,000 from the previous year.
Moreover, there are 32,362 weekly meetings (saptahik milans), resulting in a cumulative total of 87,414 activity centers.
Hosabale shared this information during a press briefing on the final day of the ‘Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal Baithak’ in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.
He provided insights about the meeting and various programs organized nationwide in celebration of Vijayadashami, as part of the Sangh Shatabdi Varsh - 2025.
He noted that, in recent years, thanks to dedicated efforts, the RSS's outreach has grown significantly in tribal areas and among workers, farmers, students, entrepreneurs, and professionals.
Hosabale also mentioned that the organization deliberated on upcoming initiatives for the Sangh Shatabdi Varsh, which have already garnered positive responses from the community.
“In the upcoming months, Hindu Sammelans will be organized at basti (villages) and mandal levels. These activities aim to spread the message of 'Panch Parivartan' to the grassroots, integrating these principles into social behavior and daily life,” he stated.
It is projected that approximately 45,000 rural and 35,000 urban Hindu sammelans will be conducted.
“Furthermore, Samaajik Sadbhav Baithaks will take place at block and city levels, while Prabuddha Nagarik Goshthis will be held at district headquarters,” he added.
He emphasized that not everyone needs to participate in a shakha; instead, each individual should contribute within their own domain towards social unity, harmony, and national advancement.
He underscored that the goal of the 'Shatabdi Varsh' programs is not merely to bolster organizational strength but to awaken the inner potential of society and inspire awareness, unity, and dedication to the nation.
