Mumbai, Oct 7 (NationPress) Shiv Sena(UBT) has taken aim at Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat regarding his recent remarks about 'Akhand Bharat' (undivided India), urging him to address the pressing matter of China's occupation of Indian territory and advocate for its liberation.

The party's editorial in its publication 'Saamana' mocked the RSS, branding it a 'non-killing army' that, under PM Modi's leadership, has been behaving like an army while merely pretending to be the Indian Army.

“Historically, these individuals were absent during the Indian freedom struggle, with no record of their leaders being jailed during that time. Yet, Bhagwat asserts that the RSS is more capable than the Indian Army. When the nation is in need, this volunteer army claims they can mobilize in just three days, while the Indian Army requires more time. If we accept that this non-killing volunteer army is braver than the Indian Army, then instead of spreading the poison of Hindutva fanaticism, they should focus on securing our borders and seas. This approach might prevent devastating attacks like Pulwama, Pahalgam, and Uri,” the Thackeray camp taunted.

The editorial further argued that the RSS must demonstrate the courage to enter Leh-Ladakh and liberate the Indian territory currently under Chinese control. It emphasized that the aspiration for an undivided India is not solely the dream of the RSS, but of every Indian citizen. The region surrounding the Indus River, referred to as Sindh province, was ceded to Pakistan during the 1947 partition, forcing all Sindhi individuals from that province to seek refuge in India. The wounds of partition remain deeply ingrained within the Sindhi community.

“Under the guise of Hindutva and nationalism, the BJP and the Sangh Parivar are consistently reopening the wounds of partition, but to what avail? For over a decade, the immense power and military resources of the nation have been under the control of the Sangh Parivar, yet they have failed to reclaim even an inch of Sindh province or Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. However, we continue to hear endless rhetoric about an undivided India,” the editorial claimed.

According to the editorial, “Prime Minister Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh are all RSS volunteers, and we question what their strategy is to actualize the vision of an Akhand Bharat. PM Modi had an opportunity to manifest an Akhand Bharat during 'Operation Sindoor', but squandered it.”

“We will dispatch troops into Pakistan, the nation responsible for the deaths of 26 Indians in the Pahalgam attack. We will advance into Lahore, Karachi and subsequently reclaim Pakistan-occupied Kashmir,” declared PM Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, yet due to directives from President Trump, the Indian Army had to retract. Did the Sarsanghchalak demand accountability from PM Modi and his fellow volunteers for their inability to reclaim Pakistan-occupied Kashmir? Did he take any action regarding their withdrawal from Pakistan following President Trump's orders? Or does he merely deliver speeches on Akhand Bharat?” questioned the Thackeray camp.

The editorial concluded by stating that China has encroached on numerous regions in Ladakh. “The Modi administration apprehended Sonam Wangchuk, who protested against this issue, under the National Security Act. China remains silent about its territorial incursions... It would have been beneficial if the RSS chief had clearly addressed the Chinese occupation of Indian territory. Had PM Modi not faltered during 'Operation Sindoor', the Indian Army and Air Force would have been positioned to enter Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Nonetheless, due to a lack of political resolve at the Centre, this did not materialize,” it added.

Point of View

It is crucial to approach this discourse with a balanced lens. The call for action against territorial occupations must resonate with all political factions, promoting national unity over divisive rhetoric. It is essential to hold our leaders accountable while fostering dialogue that strengthens the nation's integrity.
