Jaipur, June 27 (NationPress) The lifeless body of a lawyer from Udaipur was discovered on Friday, as rescue efforts are underway to locate individuals unaccounted for following the tragic incident in Uttarakhand's Rudraprayag.
The mishap took place on Thursday morning when a truck allegedly collided with a bus close to Gholtir, leading to the vehicle's plunge into the Alaknanda River.
The deceased lawyer has been identified as Sanjay Soni (55), who resided in Bhatt Ji Ki Bawdi, Udaipur.
According to his relative, Kundan Soni, Sanjay's body was found approximately 7 kilometers downstream from where the accident occurred.
Sanjay's son, Deepak, has arrived at the site to aid in identification and the necessary procedures.
Tragically, Sanjay's wife, Chetna, mother Sushila, and sister Ranjana remain missing.
The ill-fated journey commenced ten days prior as part of a Char Dham Yatra arranged by a Udaipur tour operator, Ravi Bhavsar.
Lalit Soni, from Gogunda in Udaipur, was traveling with family members, including his uncle’s son.

The Chief Minister also added, "I pray to Baba Badrinath ji for the peace of the departed souls, the safe return of the missing, and the swift recovery of the injured."
