New Delhi, Jan 21 (NationPress) Delhi BJP leader Virendra Sachdeva criticized AAP Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday for showing disrespect towards Sanatan. He stated that he is fasting and praying at the Hanuman Temple in Connaught Place to ensure that the citizens of the national capital are not affected by the former chief minister's misdeeds.
"I am fasting and praying today so that Kejriwal's negative actions do not hinder the progress of Delhi or its residents. He has opposed the construction of the Ram Temple and shows contempt for Sanatan Dharma," remarked Sachdeva.
He also accused Kejriwal of distorting the Ramcharitmanas, suggesting that accountability is necessary for such actions.
"Kejriwal is trapped in his own illusions and has a ‘Sheesh Mahal’ mentality," Sachdeva added, implying that Kejriwal is arrogant and disconnected from the public's issues.
Sachdeva further claimed that Kejriwal is intolerant of criticism, stating, "Whenever someone questions him, he retaliates aggressively, even going so far as to threaten them with his car. The people of Delhi are tired of AAP, and Kejriwal is anxious about the impending defeat that AAP faces in the upcoming elections."
In light of recent developments in the Saif Ali Khan stabbing case, where the suspect is a Bangladeshi national, the BJP leader expressed worries about illegal immigration, alleging that the AAP government has enabled the entry of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis into Delhi and assisted them in acquiring fake Aadhaar cards.
"These illegal immigrants are a serious threat to national security. The residents of Delhi will no longer tolerate such actions," he stated.
Sachdeva praised the Supreme Court for its recent comments regarding individuals with criminal backgrounds in politics. The court, while considering the bail application of Tahir Hussain, an accused in the Delhi riots, remarked, "Winning elections while in jail is too easy. Such individuals should not be allowed to contest elections."
The court also voiced strong disapproval of the interim bail granted to an AIMIM candidate, stressing that those involved in violence and riots should be disqualified from political activities.
Sachdeva endorsed the Supreme Court's observations, saying, "I fully support the Supreme Court’s statements. Those who incite violence and riots must be severely punished. They have no place in politics or public service."
