New Delhi, Feb 15 (NationPress) Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva expressed on Saturday that residents of Delhi are astounded to witness Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders persistently justifying the corruption linked to the renovation of the former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s official residence, commonly referred to as ‘Sheesh Mahal’.

Sachdeva remarked that the Sheesh Mahal scandal has become Kejriwal’s downfall, significantly damaging public confidence in the AAP, which is already grappling with a credibility crisis due to numerous scandals including the liquor policy, panic button installation, and classroom construction.

The Delhi BJP President affirmed that a new government will soon be established, pledging to conduct a thorough investigation into scandals such as Sheesh Mahal, the liquor policy, and panic button installation. He stated, “Furthermore, experienced legal professionals will be appointed to guarantee proper legal proceedings.”

Sachdeva stressed that AAP leaders owe an apology to the people of Delhi for the Sheesh Mahal renovation scandal and the liquor policy controversy.

Previously, Sachdeva mentioned that the name of the next Delhi Chief Minister would likely be revealed “within a day or two.”

At the same time, discussions regarding the framework of the new Delhi BJP government’s 7-member Cabinet, including the Chief Minister, are generating considerable buzz within party circles.

Key topics include women’s representation and a balance between experience and youth, alongside discussions of including various communities such as Brahmin, Jat, Vaishya, Dalit, Punjabi, and Purvanchali.

On Saturday, three AAP councillors joined the BJP in the presence of the Delhi unit chief, who also indicated a potential restructuring within the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.

“In the past, the slogan was double-engine sarkar. Currently, the call is for a triple-engine sarkar,” Sachdeva stated, suggesting the BJP's prospects of replacing the AAP in the civic body, where the AAP previously had 112 members and the BJP had 110, before a dozen councillors from both parties were elected to the Delhi Assembly.

“A triple-engine sarkar – at the Centre, Assembly, and MCD – would be ideal for enhancing the beauty of Delhi and serving its citizens,” asserted Sachdeva.

Welcoming the AAP councillors - Anita Basoya (Andrews Ganj), Nikhil Chaprana (Hari Nagar), and Dharamvir (R K Puram) – Sachdeva noted that these leaders contributed to the BJP’s success in the Assembly elections.
