New Delhi, Sep 9 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit the regions affected by floods in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh today to assess the ongoing disaster management and recovery initiatives following the catastrophic floods and landslides triggered by the monsoon, which have caused significant disruption across northern India.
According to official reports, PM Modi will begin his visit in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, around 1:30 p.m., where, weather permitting, he will undertake an aerial survey of the most impacted areas.
Subsequently, he will lead a high-level meeting in Dharamshala, where he will receive updates from senior officials from the state administration, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and various rescue and relief organizations, including local Aapda Mitra volunteers.
