New Delhi, Feb 15 (NationPress) The Founder of Isha Foundation, Jaggi Vasudev, better known as Sadhguru, urged students on Saturday to avoid stress during exams, emphasizing that education and assessments are designed for brain development.
During the fifth episode of 'Pariksha Pe Charcha', the spiritual guide stated: 'The more you engage your brain, the more effectively it will function.'
Sadhguru advised against making comparisons, saying: 'Believing you are less intelligent than someone else is misguided. Everyone possesses unique qualities that enable them to achieve what others cannot.'
Reflecting on his observations, he mentioned: 'I noticed a spike in the sales of medications for diarrhoea during exam periods. Initially puzzled, I later understood it stemmed from fear.'
He encouraged students to release their fears about exams, stating: 'Education is not merely about tests; it is an assessment to determine if you are ready to progress.'
Emphasizing the significance of education, Sadhguru remarked: 'Learning imparts essential knowledge, thereby granting access to life. Subjects like Physics, Math, and Chemistry keep your intelligence active.'
'To be competent, you must cultivate dynamic intelligence. Everyone has the potential to shine; it simply requires effort.'
Addressing the intricacies of human nature, he advised: 'If you find yourself physically present but mentally absent, it's detrimental. Ensure your mind and body are aligned; otherwise, they may act against your wishes.'
On managing distractions and racing thoughts, Sadhguru explained, 'It's akin to mental diarrhoea and should be managed through meditation.'
He introduced a seven-minute meditation practice, encouraging students to perform it daily on an empty stomach to alleviate stress.
He stated: 'Utilize the power of your mind to achieve equilibrium. Vocalize 'AAA', 'OOO', and 'MMM'.
Regarding the advantages of meditation, he highlighted that the Shambhavi Mudra activates significant areas of the brain.
He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for addressing examination-related stress and supporting students.
PM Modi initiated the eighth installment of 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' on February 10 in Delhi, engaging with students at Sunder Nursery during the first episode.
