Moscow, May 9 (NationPress) Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, representing India during the 80th Victory Day celebrations in Russia commemorating the conclusion of World War II, had the opportunity to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin during his trip.

Seth conveyed India’s sincere appreciation for Russia’s steadfast support in the international battle against terrorism.

Sharing moments from his visit on social media, the Indian minister posted images of his engagement with President Putin and highlights from the Victory Day festivities.

“I am privileged to meet President Vladimir Putin during my stay in Russia. I represented India at the banquet held for the 80th Victory Day anniversary. I expressed our gratitude for Russia's assistance in India's fight against terrorism under the leadership of Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji,” he noted on his X account.

Seth, who serves as the BJP MP from Ranchi, arrived in Moscow on Thursday, where he was greeted by Indian Ambassador to Russia Vinay Kumar and Major General Oleg Moiseyev from the Russian Defence Ministry.

During his visit, he engaged in a bilateral meeting with Russian Deputy Defence Minister Colonel General Alexander Fomin.
