Sambhal, April 6 (NationPress) The Satyavrat Police Outpost, located adjacent to the Shahi Jama Masjid in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, was officially inaugurated on Sunday with the goal of enhancing law and order in the region.
During the inauguration, numerous individuals from the Muslim community warmly welcomed the Superintendent of Police and District Magistrate of Sambhal with garlands.
This Police Outpost derives its name from the historical title of Sambhal. In ancient texts known as Puranas, Sambhal is referred to as Satyavrat. An artistic representation of the Mahabharata is etched at the entrance of the Outpost, showcasing Lord Krishna imparting the Gita to Arjun.
IANS conversed with several local youths from the Muslim community to gather their thoughts about the newly established Police Outpost near the mosque.
One youth, Zia, shared with IANS, "We have extended our greetings to SP and DM sahab because the Satyavrat Chowki has been established, which brings us immense joy. It was essential to have a Chowki here. The Muslim community also contributed significantly to the construction of the Chowki, with 25 individuals welcoming SP and DM sahab. We will greatly benefit from the establishment of the Police Outpost, as it will help resolve disputes."
Mohammad Mohsin also expressed his satisfaction with the Police Outpost's construction, stating that the establishment of Satyavrat Chowki was crucial. "We are pleased with this development and extend our welcome. The administration is doing commendable work for us, and we are cooperating with them," he added.
Another local resident, Mohammad Sameer, remarked, "The inauguration of the Satyavrat Police Outpost is for our safety. We consistently support the administration and will continue to do so in the future. This brings us great happiness."
It is important to note that Sambhal is recognized as one of the sensitive districts in Uttar Pradesh. Recently, unrest occurred during the survey of Jama Masjid, which led to an increase in security during significant religious events and festivals.
