Varanasi, Sep 28 (NationPress) Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi emphasized the need to strengthen the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector in India, stating its crucial role in creating employment opportunities and empowering citizens.

While addressing the MSME Seva Parv-2025: Virasat se Vikas event, he remarked, “The MSME sector is of immense importance in India, being a leading contributor to job generation.”

This significant event is taking place from September 28 to 30.

Jitan Ram Manjhi also pointed out important initiatives such as Udyam Registration, PMEGP, CGTMSE, and NSSH, highlighting how the Ministry aids beneficiaries through training, toolkit distribution, and loan facilitation via banks.

More than 1,500 beneficiaries from various MSME schemes, including PM Vishwakarma, Khadi and Gramodyog Yojana, and the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), participated in the event.

The MSME minister also witnessed the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) focused on marketing. Additionally, loan certificates were distributed to PMV beneficiaries, margin money subsidies were granted to PMEGP beneficiaries, and toolkits were provided to GVY beneficiaries.

The event aims to unite communities, institutions, and individuals in a collective movement of seva, cultural pride, and awareness of our heritage.

Moreover, the minister inaugurated a three-day exhibition featuring 130 stalls that showcased and sold products crafted by local artisans and craftspeople.

Union Minister of State for MSME Shobha Karandlaje stated: “The MSME sector is pivotal as a significant driver of job creation. The importance of Udyam registration, the contributions of MSMEs to GDP and exports, and their role in empowering entrepreneurs through technology, toolkits, loans, and skill training are critical in today’s landscape.”

She also underlined the Ministry of MSME's initiatives, including PM Vishwakarma, PMEGP, and Udyam Registration, emphasizing how entrepreneurs are integral to building a Viksit Bharat.

As part of the event, a Swachhata Karyakram was conducted at Namo Ghat this morning to promote community service and cleanliness.

Manoj Kumar, Chairman of KVIC, along with senior officials from the Ministry of MSME, the Office of Development Commissioner, and KVIC, Government of Uttar Pradesh, attended the event.
