Patna, April 28 (NationPress) Shambhu Kumar, the director of Jai Mata Di Samridhi Industries located on Ramchandrapur Nala Road in Bihar Sharif district, has successfully turned his aspirations into reality through the support provided by the Pradhan Mantri Employment Generation Scheme (PMEGP). Today, his achievements as a first-time entrepreneur are a source of inspiration for many young individuals in the village.

Three years ago, Shambhu Kumar launched a small enterprise specializing in readymade garments and secured a loan of Rs 25 lakh under the PMEGP initiative. This subsidized loan served as a crucial catalyst for his business, facilitating significant growth.

In an interview with IANS, he revealed that his factory now supports more than 35 employees, including 20 women and 15 men. They manufacture half pants, pyjamas, and various other readymade garments, distributing them to several districts, including Kishanganj, Bettiah, Purnia, Katihar, and Dhanbad in Jharkhand.

Reflecting on his journey, he noted that after acquiring the loan, procuring machines and raw materials became much easier, leading to a boost in production. He now proudly claims that his monthly earnings have surged to 50,000-60,000 rupees.

This industrious entrepreneur also shared how he successfully repaid the entire loan amount. He expressed his gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi for implementing public welfare initiatives, stating that previously, many from Bihar sought employment in Delhi or Gujarat, but now they can enjoy a dignified life right in their own state.

It is worth mentioning that the Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) is managed by the Ministry of MSME to aid entrepreneurs in establishing new micro-units in the non-farm sector. Its goal is to create job opportunities for traditional artisans and unemployed youth in both rural and urban areas, achieving remarkable success over recent years.
