Chennai, Dec 18 (NationPress) In a touching statement that struck a chord with the audience, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin shared on Thursday that, similar to how many men attribute their achievements to the women who support them, he credits his wife, Durga, for his own accomplishments.

During the inauguration of the newly built Anna Marriage Hall in Kolathur, he reflected on how her steadfast encouragement through his toughest times has significantly influenced his path and led him to his current position.

The Chief Minister unveiled the modern marriage hall, which was constructed at an expenditure of Rs 25.72 crore, and participated in the wedding ceremonies of 15 couples.

Prior to the event, he conducted a roadshow through Kolathur, where eager crowds gathered along the streets to greet him.

Addressing the thousands present, Stalin remarked that this inauguration represents a crucial moment for Kolathur, offering improved facilities and fresh opportunities to the area.

Expressing profound affection for the locality, he emphasized that Kolathur has played a pivotal role in both his political journey and his personal connection with the community.

He observed that the identity of Kolathur has become deeply linked with his own, with many residents directly associating the area with his name.

However, Stalin underscored that development efforts extend beyond Kolathur. The state government, he stated, regards all constituencies in Tamil Nadu as equally important and is committed to serving each one with equal fervor.

He shared that visiting Kolathur fills him with unparalleled joy—sometimes even more so than during broader state government events or political campaigns. He expressed that the loyalty and emotional tie he has with the residents continue to motivate him.

Returning to his personal story, Stalin expressed his gratitude to his wife, noting that if she had not stood by him during turbulent times, his life and career could have taken a very different direction. He used this narrative to remind newly married couples about the significance of mutual support, patience, and respect within a marriage.

Specifically addressing the grooms, he urged them to treat their wives with respect and to appreciate the vital role their partners play in constructing a stable and successful life together.

The ceremony concluded with Stalin personally blessing and officiating the marriages of 15 couples, adding a special touch to the event and creating a memorable day for Kolathur.
