Brasilia, June 3 (NationPress) An all-party Indian Parliamentary delegation led by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor convened with Brazil's Acting Foreign Minister, Maria Laura da Rocha, to discuss enhancing collaboration on anti-terrorism measures, multilateralism, and the promotion of democratic values between the two nations.
The delegation expressed gratitude to Brazil for recognizing India's stance against terrorism and shared insights regarding the Pahalgam terror attack that occurred on April 22.
On social media platform X, the Indian Embassy in Brazil stated: "A high-profile All-Party Delegation led by MP Shashi Tharoor met Acting Foreign Minister of Brazil, Ambassador Maria Laura da Rocha. They expressed appreciation for Brazil's understanding in combating terrorism, shared perspectives on the Pahalgam attack, and explored ways to bolster anti-terrorist cooperation, multilateralism, and democratic values."
Previously, the Indian delegation had a discussion with Brazilian Senator Nelsinho Trad Filho, President of the India-Brazil Friendship Front in the Federal Senate, focusing on the issue of cross-border terrorism, including insights on the Pahalgam attack.

Following a successful visit to Guyana, Panama, and Colombia, the nine-member Indian delegation arrived in Brazil for a two-day visit. Members include Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) MP Shambhavi Choudhary, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha MP Sarfaraz Ahmad, Telugu Desam Party MP GM Harish Balayogi, and BJP MPs Shashank Mani Tripathi, Bhubaneswar Kalita, Tejasvi Surya, Milind Deora, along with Ambassador Taranjit Singh Sandhu.
