Mumbai, March 28 (NationPress) Sanjay Nirupam, the Deputy Leader and Spokesperson of Shiv Sena, claimed on Friday that following the tragic murder of Disha Salian, the SS(UBT) is now attempting to tarnish the reputation of her father, Satish Salian.

He urged the Mumbai Police to reveal the facts surrounding the closure report related to Disha Salian’s demise.

During a press conference held in Mumbai, Nirupam accused the SS(UBT) of trying to obstruct the investigation.

He emphasized that at the time of Disha Salian’s murder, Uddhav Thackeray was serving as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

“Did the Malvani Police attempt to conceal the case due to pressure from Uddhav Thackeray?” he questioned.

Nirupam asserted that the closure report contained misleading information aimed at discrediting the Salian family.

He reiterated that “Aaditya Thackeray and his associates are the main culprits in Disha’s murder, and now they are attacking her father’s character.”

Nirupam also criticized the SS(UBT), asserting that the citizens of Maharashtra have made their choice between “the authentic Shiv Sena and the counterfeit Shiv Sena” on two occasions.

“Uddhav Thackeray lacks the true Shiv Sena; he is left with merely a splinter group,” he stated, referencing the election outcomes.

“In the Assembly elections, the SS(UBT) contested 95 seats but secured only 20. The Shiv Sena ran for 87 seats and won 57, with three Independents aligning with them, totaling 60 MLAs.

“Shiv Sena achieved a strike rate of 70.37 percent, garnering 7,996,930 votes. In contrast, the SS(UBT)’s strike rate was merely 21.05 percent, with 6,433,566 votes. In 52 direct contests between Shiv Sena and SS(UBT), Shiv Sena triumphed in 37 seats, while SS(UBT) managed only 15,” Nirupam explained.

He noted that among SS(UBT)’s 15 victories, six were in Muslim-majority regions of Mumbai.

In the Lok Sabha elections, Shiv Sena contested 15 seats and won 7, achieving a strike rate of 46.30 percent. SS(UBT) contested 21 seats and secured 9, with a strike rate of 42.85 percent. “Shiv Sena’s authority is already confirmed,” he asserted.

Nirupam stressed that the Election Commission has already favored Eknath Shinde’s leadership.

He reminded all that “Shiv Sena was established by Hindu Hriday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray on June 19, 1966, while the SS(UBT) came into existence in June 2022.”

“Your faction is merely a breakaway group,” he concluded.
