Chandigarh, June 4 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini, emphasized on Wednesday that to safeguard the legacy of the gurus and to share their philosophies with the public, the construction of the Sikh Museum and the Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Museum in Kurukshetra must be finalized within the designated timeframe.
He stated that this initiative would empower future generations to seek inspiration from the gurus and play a significant role in nation-building.
While presiding over a meeting to assess the status of the Sikh Museum and Guru Ravidas Museum, he directed that the Sikh Museum should be developed to provide a thorough understanding of Sikh history, culture, and the contributions made by the gurus.
Additionally, he insisted that the museum should feature comprehensive details about all the places in Haryana that the Sikh gurus visited, thus enabling the state's residents, particularly the youth, to discover the spiritual, social, and historical heritage of the gurus.
He pointed out that the museum ought to authentically represent the historical battles fought by the gurus against Mughal oppression, showcasing their commitment to protect religion, uphold justice, and establish human values.
“This depiction will ensure that their sacrifices and struggles continue to motivate future generations,” he remarked.
To guarantee the authenticity and quality of the museum's content, the Chief Minister recommended forming an expert committee that includes seasoned historians, university professors, and scholars affiliated with the Sahitya Akademi.
In the same vein, he highlighted the importance of constructing the Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Museum on a grand scale.
He asserted that the museum must not only be architecturally stunning but also effectively communicate the life philosophy, spiritual teachings, and message of social harmony promoted by Sant Ravidas.
To achieve this, he proposed the establishment of a committee comprised of scholars who have conducted thorough studies on the life, teachings, ideals, and humanitarian contributions of Guru Ravidas.
The Chief Minister mentioned that the 350th Shahidi Diwas of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur will be observed in November and stressed the need to commence preparations immediately to celebrate this significant occasion with dignity and respect.
This event should not only be historically significant but also effectively communicate the timeless message of sacrifice and martyrdom of the Sikh gurus to all segments of society.
