New Delhi, Nov 30 (NationPress) The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced on Sunday that there has been remarkable advancement in Phase II of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2025 of electoral rolls, with 99.65 percent of Enumeration Forms (EFs) successfully distributed across 12 states and Union Territories.
The latest Daily Bulletin indicates that the overall distribution of EFs across the country stands at 99.65 percent, showcasing effective mobilization efforts by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and engagement from Booth Level Agents (BLAs).
As the enumeration phase unfolds from November 4 to December 4, approximately 50.79 crore EFs have been disseminated out of a total of 50.97 crore eligible electors.
In terms of digitisation, there is notable progress, with 42.96 crore forms already digitised, resulting in an overall digitisation rate of 84.30 percent.
Goa and Lakshadweep have achieved a flawless 100 percent distribution rate of EFs, closely followed by Andaman and Nicobar at 99.99 percent, Madhya Pradesh at 99.91 percent, West Bengal at 99.89 percent, Rajasthan at 99.85 percent, and Gujarat at 99.83 percent.
In Uttar Pradesh, which has the largest electorate size, the EF distribution stands at 99.78 percent, covering over 15.40 crore electors.
On the other hand, Kerala at 98.67 percent, Tamil Nadu at 99.85 percent, and Puducherry at 99.25 percent are noted as the lower achievers.
In West Bengal, 7.65 crore electors, or 99.89 percent of EFs, have been distributed, with 92.15 percent of EFs digitised, as reported by the ECI.
As for digitisation, Lakshadweep leads with a perfect 100 percent, followed by Goa at 96.64 percent and Rajasthan at 95.63 percent.
However, Uttar Pradesh has shown the slowest digitisation progress at 69.56 percent, followed by Kerala at 81.19 percent.
The ECI has urged recognized political parties to appoint additional Booth Level Agents to expedite verification and digitisation processes.
Furthermore, the ECI clarified that the figures from Rajasthan do not encompass the Anta Assembly constituency, where the revision was postponed due to a by-election.
The poll body has committed to continue releasing scheduled bulletins as the revision process approaches its December 4 deadline.
