Hyderabad, Jan 21 (NationPress) Skyroot Aerospace is set to create a comprehensive private facility dedicated to rocket manufacturing, integration, and testing in Telangana.

The firm formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Telangana government on Tuesday during the World Economic Forum summit held in Davos.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and IT & Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu were present for the MoU signing with Skyroot Aerospace, a space technology enterprise based in Hyderabad.

This initiative will involve an investment of approximately Rs 500 crore, marking it as one of the largest private-sector integrated facilities for rocket manufacturing, integration, and testing.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed his enthusiasm about this development, stating that it is inspiring to witness local companies achieving significant milestones on an international scale.

“I am thrilled to witness a Hyderabad-based enterprise thriving. We welcome their investment in Telangana. This agreement showcases the innovative capabilities of the youth in Telangana who are engaging with cutting-edge technologies globally,” the Chief Minister commented, as quoted in an official release.

“Collaborating with Skyroot underscores Telangana’s strategic emphasis on the space and aerospace sectors. We aim to position Hyderabad as the central hub for private sector space endeavors,” he added.

“There is a renewed sense of energy and optimism regarding the state and its prospects. We aspire to contribute to the TelanganaRising and HyderabadRising initiative,” stated Pawan Kumar Chandana, co-founder of Skyroot Aerospace.

Meanwhile, Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu engaged in extensive discussions with the MTC Group about expanding their Hub-and-Spoke model to Telangana. The Mitsui Group from Japan holds a 25 percent stake in the MTC Group.

The talks covered various plans and projects, with efforts soon commencing to locate suitable land for their investments in Telangana.

Sridhar Babu also met with Khalid Mohammed Al-Salem, the Federal Minister and President of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, Saudi Arabia, at the Telangana Pavilion.

During this cordial meeting, they explored opportunities for collaboration and potential investments aligned with the TelanganaRising vision.

The Saudi Arabian minister expressed the nation's eagerness to discover investment prospects that correspond with sustainability and long-term positive impacts on communities and the environment.

Su Le, Chief Growth Officer at SambaNova, also met with Sridhar Babu and other members of the Telangana delegation to discuss investment possibilities within the semiconductor sector.

SambaNova, which operates from Palo Alto, California, has developed an Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform that serves as a foundation for AI advancements and deep learning capabilities.
