New Delhi, June 15 (NationPress) Sonia Gandhi, the Chairperson of the Congress Parliamentary Party, has been hospitalized at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital due to issues related to her stomach, as per sources on Sunday.
The former Congress president, aged 78, is currently receiving care in the Gastroenterology department of the hospital.
This marks her second hospitalization this month.
On June 7, she underwent an MRI at Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) Hospital in Shimla after experiencing restlessness.
The Rajya Sabha MP was admitted to the hospital promptly following her complaints.
A doctor from IGMC noted that her blood pressure was slightly elevated but she remained stable.
Naresh Chauhan, principal advisor (media) to Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, indicated that she was taken for a routine examination due to some minor health concerns.
After being briefed on her health status, CM Sukhu curtailed his visit to Una and proceeded to Shimla, as reported by a party leader.
