Often termed the world’s biggest event dedicated to innovation and entrepreneurship, it aims to unite over 3,000 startups, more than 1,000 investors and incubators, and upwards of 10,000 delegates from over 50 nations, offering an exceptional platform to influence the trajectory of India’s entrepreneurial scene.

Pavilions representing 10 vibrant sectors have been established at the event, including AI, Deeptech, Cybersecurity, Health Tech, Biotech, Agri Tech, Energy and Climate Tech, Incubators and Accelerators, D2C, FinTech, Gaming and Sports, Defense and Space Tech, and Mobility.

Organized under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and the Startup India initiative by the Centre, the event aims to furnish startups with avenues for funding, networking, and global connections.

In his speech at the event, Minister of State for Information and Technology Jitin Prasada expressed confidence in India's growth potential. "India is in safe hands. We are determined to evolve into a developed nation by 2047. We possess the talent, the expertise, and a responsive government. Unlike others, our government has been continuously elected for three consecutive terms under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance. Together with stakeholders like you, we will partner to construct a more robust, innovative, and vibrant India, fulfilling our pledge to the citizens of India," he stated.

In a conversation with IANS, Uttar Pradesh IT and Electronics Minister Sunil Kumar Sharma emphasized the event's importance, stating: "The Maha Kumbh of Prayagraj exemplified the essence of record-setting. In the same vein, Startup Mahakumbh is establishing new standards in our nation's development sector, highlighting emerging talents and propelling India toward becoming a developed nation."

"Since 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has posed fresh challenges in the startup realm, and in Uttar Pradesh, (Chief Minister) Yogi Adityanath has shown how economic advancement can be attained through well-executed events. The UP pavilion at Startup Mahakumbh will exhibit the state’s thriving startup ecosystem, boasting over 15,000 registered startups. The leadership of UP’s Chief Minister merits acknowledgment for adeptly managing the Maha Kumbh, and this event embodies that same spirit of progress."
