New Delhi, April 2 (NationPress) The eagerly awaited second edition of Startup Mahakumbh is scheduled to occur at Bharat Mandapam from April 3 to 5. This event promises to be a significant platform for entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders to unite and discover new business opportunities.

The inauguration will be led by Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, with a special address by Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasada.

Startup Mahakumbh aims to nurture innovation and collaboration, establishing a robust framework for the upcoming wave of entrepreneurial triumph in India.

This year’s gathering will highlight tribal entrepreneurs, with over 45 startups participating, including those incubated at IIM Calcutta, IIM Kashipur, and IIT Bhilai, all showcasing their remarkable innovations.

Archana Jahagirdar, Founder & Managing Partner at Rukam Capital and a member of the Startup Mahakumbh Organising Committee, emphasized the government’s pivotal role in supporting startups.

She mentioned that the event is in line with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 and aims to become the world’s largest showcase of innovation.

"The government’s backing has been crucial in advancing the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, and we aspire to contribute significantly by organizing the ‘World’s Biggest Showcase of Innovation’ -- Startup Mahakumbh," Jahagirdar stated.

The breadth and variety of participants will render the event an invaluable opportunity for networking and collaboration.

"Startup Mahakumbh will represent a genuine ‘sangam’ of startup and industry ‘MahaRathis’ from across Indian districts and globally - Jile se Jagat tak," remarked Sanjiv, Joint Secretary at the DPIIT.

He added that while one section will feature a flying taxi made in India, another will showcase countries like South Korea presenting a pavilion of 11 startups, with Nepal displaying its largest pavilion featuring a startup with a 2-stage rocket powered by sustainable hybrid propulsion rocket engines.

Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Co-founder and Executive Vice Chairman of Info Edge, stressed that the startup sector flourishes on innovation and competition, and such forums facilitate the introduction of global best practices.

Prashanth Prakash, Founding Partner of Accel and a member of the organizing committee, characterized the second edition as a “gamechanger” that will elevate India’s startup ecosystem to unprecedented heights.
