Speaking to the press, Kumawat declared, “While the border is currently peaceful, any provocation from across will be met with a strong response.”
He emphasized that the situation remains under constant monitoring under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, affirming that all three branches of the armed forces are united in combating Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.
During his tour, Kumawat also engaged with families of soldiers serving in the Indian Army, commending their bravery and commitment. He underlined India's increasing self-sufficiency and technological prowess in defense, noting that the efficacy of indigenous weapons has been recognized on a global scale.
Commenting on the recent tense conditions, the Minister mentioned that despite blackouts and air raid sirens, not a single family evacuated their homes in the border villages.
“Villagers exhibited incredible fearlessness, remaining outside their homes even during periods of tension. Their valor is truly commendable,” he remarked.
Kumawat visited Jasai, Sedwa, Deepla, Khara, and Paru villages, where he interacted with residents and addressed their concerns.
He conducted a strategic review meeting with Colonel Vikramjit Singh and Colonel Shivaji Warghade at Jasai Military Station to assess security readiness along the India-Pakistan border. Bhilwara MP Damodar Agarwal, BJP State Minister Ajit Mundan, District Minister Devi Lal Kumawat, Anantaram Bishnoi, and Army officials also attended the meeting.
In Khara village, Minister Kumawat praised the tenacity of residents amid ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan.
He assured the villagers of robust support from the administration during crises. Local leaders, including Sarpanch Chetanram and villagers Devi Singh and Revant Singh, expressed their appreciation for the government’s continuous assistance.
Stressing solidarity, he affirmed, “The state government stands firmly with the people of border regions.”
Kumawat also met families of local youth serving in the army, stating that India is now self-sufficient and technically advanced. The world has recognized the capabilities of Made in India weapons.
He remarked that there have been war-like situations between the two nations for several days, resulting in significant tension on both sides. Despite the blackouts and air raid alerts, the residents of the villages along the Pakistan border adjacent to Barmer displayed remarkable courage, with no family leaving their homes.
After a thorough five-hour tour of the border villages and a review of the situation in Balotra and Barmer districts, Minister Kumawat concluded his two-day visit and returned to Jaipur.
