Amaravati, June 9 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, formally launched the 'Swarna Andhra 2047' vision by inaugurating Vision Action Plan units across all 26 districts and 175 Assembly constituencies on Monday. He highlighted that previously, MLAs lacked a dedicated government office at the constituency level, a gap now addressed by these units. Each unit will comprise a team of nine members, with an allocation of Rs 10 lakh designated for operational purposes.
During a virtual launch from the State Secretariat, the Chief Minister urged MPs, MLAs, District Collectors, and other officials to spearhead the implementation of this vision. This initiative presents a significant opportunity for MLAs to involve citizens actively in the transformational journey.
According to the Chief Minister, each Constituency Vision Action Plan Unit will be led by the local MLA, supported by a Special Officer who acts as the Executive Vice-Chairperson. Additional members will include the local MLC, Chairperson of the Municipal/Urban Panchayat, RDO/Sub-Collector, Tahsildar, MPDO, and Municipal Commissioner.
In his address, he noted that to promote comprehensive growth, the state has pinpointed ten key development sectors that will receive concentrated efforts. These sectors include agriculture, dairy, fisheries, and horticulture, industries, commerce, and logistics, services sector & IT, healthcare and medical infrastructure, education and skill development, environmental and natural resource management, infrastructure—roads, water projects, housing, urban and rural development, as well as governance efficiency and digital governance.
He asserted, “Our aim is to transform Andhra Pradesh into a 'Healthy, Wealthy, and Happy' state. These ten pillars will guide every initiative we implement, ensuring inclusive, technology-driven, and sustainable advancement across all sectors.”
The Chief Minister stated that over 400 government services are being delivered through WhatsApp Governance. Within two months, all services will be accessible via Mitra. The vision is being executed at the state, district, constituency, and secretariat levels, according to Naidu.
He indicated that various departments, including Planning, GAD, ITE&C, RTGS, the Village/Ward Secretariat System, Finance, I&PR, and the CMO, are collaborating to oversee and implement the Vision Action Plans. A roadmap spanning five years has been crafted for all 26 districts.
Emphasizing the importance of both the long-term Swarna Andhra 2047 vision and the formulation of a clear four-year action plan, the CM announced the establishment of MSME parks in each constituency and Ratan Tata Hubs in Amaravati. “Our focus is significantly on the services sector. As income levels rise, more welfare initiatives can be introduced. We are integrating technology into governance, which must be grounded in a humanitarian perspective.”
