Patna, June 26 (NationPress) As the political landscape heats up in anticipation of the Bihar Assembly elections, Tej Pratap Yadav, an MLA and the eldest son of RJD leader Lalu Prasad, has declared that he will initiate a Janata Darbar starting June 30.
In a recent post on social media, Tej Pratap unveiled the Janata Darbar - a direct engagement platform aimed at addressing public concerns and grievances.
"Janata Darbar offers immediate solutions to public issues. Let’s embark on a new journey for Bihar together. I am always with you, always with Bihar. Commencing Monday, June 30, the Janata Darbar will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at my residence located at 26 M Strand Road," Tej Pratap stated.
During these sessions, Tej Pratap will actively listen to citizens' challenges and pledge to take prompt action.
This initiative seeks to bolster grassroots ties.
Previously, Tej Pratap voiced worries regarding his personal safety, stating: "At present, I feel unsafe. My security needs to be enhanced as my life is at risk. Our position is crystal clear; we will stand firm."
He also extended heartfelt wishes to Lalu Prasad, subtly reaffirming his allegiance to the party's foundation while carving out his own niche in Bihar's political scene.
Sources indicate that RJD members have been directed to rally support and present local issues at the Janata Darbar.
This move is anticipated to invigorate the party's base, which has been seeking clearer leadership amid recent internal dynamics, sources added.
It is noteworthy that in May, Lalu expelled Tej Pratap from both the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Yadav family for six years, citing his "irresponsible behavior" and deviation from party and family principles.
"Disregarding moral values in personal affairs undermines our collective pursuit of social justice. The actions and public behavior of the eldest son do not align with our family principles. Therefore, I am removing him from the party and family. He will no longer hold any position in either," Lalu had announced.
This expulsion followed shortly after viral images and a video surfaced online featuring Tej Pratap with a woman named Anushka Yadav.
