Patna, Dec 12 (NationPress) Tej Pratap Yadav, the founder of Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD), who recently participated in the Bihar Assembly elections under his new political banner, shows no signs of discouragement following the party's electoral loss.

He has declared that his party will compete in the forthcoming elections in Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.

“My party intends to field candidates in the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, and we will also engage in the West Bengal Assembly elections. With the opposition in Bihar lacking strength, I will actively address public concerns and commence a state-wide tour to understand the issues faced by the people,” Yadav shared with the press in Patna on Friday.

In spite of the electoral disappointment, the Janshakti Janata Dal leader and former minister expressed that he is moving forward with renewed vigor in politics.

“Victory and defeat are integral to democracy. I refuse to be disheartened. I am now more involved in political activities than ever before,” he asserted.

Detailing his party’s approach, Tej Pratap mentioned that the Janshakti Janata Dal is broadening its reach not just within Bihar but across multiple states.

A membership campaign is currently in progress, attracting numerous new members to the party.

He is personally visiting various regions to recruit members.

At a recent gathering in Patna, he introduced the party’s state president, stressing the importance of strengthening the organization at the grassroots level.

According to him, many leaders from different parties are joining this new movement.

The party has also appointed a national spokesperson in Delhi, with a university professor taking on this role—this is a significant step towards national expansion, he explained.

During the discussion, he also made a remark about his brother and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav.

“While some individuals have become stagnant post-election loss, I choose to remain proactive and focus on reinforcing the organization,” he stated.

Commenting on the recent government demolitions, he urged the authorities to ensure that alternative housing arrangements are made before displacing the poor, particularly during winter.

Tej Pratap concluded by asserting that while many party leaders have grown silent, his party continues to engage actively with the people and will persist in doing so.
