Patna, Nov 12 (NationPress) As the counting of votes for the Bihar Assembly elections approaches on November 14, the political landscape is buzzing with assertions of triumph. Tej Pratap Yadav, the National President of the Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD), has conveyed unwavering confidence in his success for the Mahua Assembly seat.
“I am confident about winning the Mahua seat. We don’t prepare for celebrations; we prepare for work,” Tej Pratap stated during a press interaction in Patna on Wednesday.
When questioned about the predictions from exit polls, he remarked, “I don’t trust exit polls. We will see the outcome on November 14, but I am winning Mahua.”
Tej Pratap Yadav, who had previously represented Mahua in 2015, is contesting this time on a Janshakti Janata Dal ticket, up against Mukesh Kumar Raushan from the RJD.
Other notable candidates include Sanjay Kumar Singh from LJP (Ram Vilas), Indrajit Pradhan from the Jan Suraaj Party, and Rimjhim Devi from the Bahujan Samaj Party.
The voting for the Mahua Assembly seat occurred on November 6 during the first phase, covering 121 constituencies across 18 districts.
The second phase, covering 122 constituencies in 20 districts, concluded on November 11. The results for all 243 Assembly seats will be announced on November 14.
In the previous 2020 Assembly elections, RJD’s Mukesh Kumar Raushan won Mahua, while in 2015, Tej Pratap Yadav claimed victory from the same seat. In 2020, he shifted to Hasanpur (Samastipur) and won as an RJD candidate.
Recently, Tej Pratap Yadav was spotted meeting BJP MP Ravi Kishan twice at Patna Airport during the campaign, leading to speculations about a potential post-election alliance.
However, neither Yadav nor the BJP has issued any official statement regarding this.
As Bihar awaits the election results on November 14, celebrations have already commenced within the NDA camp, buoyed by exit polls suggesting a significant win for the ruling coalition.
