Patna, Oct 28 (NationPress) The leader of Jantantrik Janata Dal (JJD), Tej Pratap Yadav, has made a scathing remark against Congress's Rahul Gandhi and RJD's Tejashwi Yadav, asserting that neither can be deemed a Jan Nayak.

While addressing reporters in Patna, Tej Pratap declared, “The true Jan Nayaks of this nation include Karpoori Thakur, Ram Manohar Lohia, Bhim Rao Ambedkar, and Mahatma Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav do not fit this title; they are still under the influence of my father, Lalu Prasad Yadav. Without his support, they would amount to nothing.”

He continued, “I will only recognize Tejashwi Yadav if he accomplishes something independently. Currently, all his power stems from my father’s assistance.”

Tej Pratap also reflected on his own political path, stating, “I am running in the election without my father's support. If Tejashwi manages to do the same and achieves success, I will commend him.”

The elder son of Lalu Prasad Yadav, Tej Pratap Yadav is contesting the Bihar Assembly elections from Mahua under the banner of his newly established party, JJD. He has also nominated several candidates from his party in various constituencies.

Tej Pratap was first elected from the Mahua Assembly seat in the Vaishali district in 2015 as an RJD candidate, later serving as the Health Minister in the Mahagathbandhan government.

In the 2020 elections, he ran from the Hasanpur constituency in Samastipur district, securing victory once more.

However, his political journey faced a setback following a controversy involving his pictures with a girl named Anushka Yadav that went viral on social media.

The fallout led to the expulsion of Tej Pratap Yadav from the RJD and the family by Lalu Prasad Yadav for six years.

Currently, Tej Pratap Yadav is actively campaigning across Bihar for the upcoming Assembly elections in 2025.

Point of View

As the Bihar elections approach, the dynamics between these leaders will be pivotal in shaping the political narrative.
