Patna, Aug 7 (NationPress) Former Mokama MLA and influential figure Anant Singh, who was recently released from Beur Jail, has launched a fierce critique of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). He forecasts a robust resurgence for the NDA in the forthcoming Bihar Assembly elections.
During a press interaction in Patna on Thursday, Singh contended that the RJD would find it difficult to secure even 15 seats in the elections. He specifically targeted RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, declaring, “Lalu Yadav will not win more than 15 seats in the upcoming Bihar Assembly polls.”
Expressing optimism about the NDA’s future, Singh asserted that the remaining seats would be claimed by Nitish Kumar and the BJP.
“Nitish Kumar’s government will make a comeback. If he continues in office for another 10 years, I will weigh him in gold,” he remarked.
Singh did not spare Tejashwi Yadav, Lalu Yadav's son, branding him a “seventh-class failure” and stating that “his only qualification is being Lalu Yadav’s son.” He further claimed, “If Tejashwi contests from Mokama, he will lose his deposit.”
On a positive note, Singh commended Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s son, Nishant Kumar, suggesting he should pursue a political career. “He is a scholar and highly educated. He should definitely enter politics,” Singh asserted.
Known as ‘Chhote Sarkar’, Anant Singh was released from jail after obtaining bail from the Patna High Court related to the high-profile Nauraga-Jalalpur firing case, which involved a confrontation with the Sonu-Monu gang earlier this year.
Upon his release, he was welcomed by a large assembly of supporters with garlands and celebrations. Singh plans to hold a roadshow in Mokama later today to engage with his followers.
His return marks a significant political moment in the area. His wife, Neelam Devi, currently occupies the Mokama seat after winning the bypoll following Singh's conviction in an Arms Act case.
