Patna, Sep 21 (NationPress) Tej Pratap Yadav, the son of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and a former Bihar minister, strongly criticized those who directed offensive remarks at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the second time during a Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) public gathering, which was reportedly attended by his brother Tejashwi Yadav.
In a media interaction, Tej Pratap expressed his disapproval of what he termed the culture of name-calling at RJD events and called for the swift arrest of the offenders.
He stated, “If these actions go unpunished, my party 'Janshakti Janata Dal' will initiate a movement in Mahua,” while addressing reporters.
The Minister of State (MoS) for Home Affairs, Nityanand Rai, released a video post-incident, which allegedly showcased the abusive language directed towards the Prime Minister, in the presence of Tejashwi.
“The people of Bihar and the nation are observing this. You will receive a strong backlash. The situation is escalating... Disrespecting the sentiments of 14 crore Biharis will have severe repercussions,” he warned, sending a message to Tejashwi and the RJD.
Tej Pratap demanded immediate legal action against those who insulted both the Prime Minister and his mother, insisting they should be imprisoned without delay.
“We reiterate, insulting any mother is unacceptable. A mother carries her child for nine months. An FIR should be lodged against anyone who disrespects a mother, leading directly to imprisonment,” Tej Pratap asserted to the media.
Further distancing himself from the RJD and the Lalu family, he remarked, “If the culprits aren’t jailed, we will protest. Our party, Janshakti Janata Dal, plans to hold a demonstration in Mahua.”
