Patna, Aug 19 (NationPress) Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and the Hasanpur MLA, has directed a pointed critique towards Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and his younger brother, the Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav. This comes after a reported altercation involving a legislator's driver and a journalist during the 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' in Aurangabad.
Tej Pratap shared a 19-second video of the incident on his official X handle, stating, “I am perplexed as to whether Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav are here to protect democracy or to undermine it. The way MLA Vijay Kumar Singh, also known as Dablu Singh, and his brother, a media journalist, were assaulted and verbally abused by the Jaichands is utterly unacceptable and disgraceful. I vehemently condemn this.”
In a cautionary tone directed at his younger brother, he added, “I want to advise Tejashwi that there’s still time. Watch out for the Jaichands surrounding you; otherwise, the electoral outcomes will be dire. The results will reveal your level of intelligence.”
This isn’t the first instance where Tej Pratap has accused “Jaichands” (traitors) within Tejashwi's circle of conspiring against him.
Previously, after a photograph surfaced online featuring him and a woman named Anushka Yadav, Tej Pratap claimed he hadn’t posted it and held Tejashwi’s associates responsible.
This controversy led to his six-year expulsion from the family and party by RJD head Lalu Prasad Yadav.
Political analysts now suggest that these comments have reignited the rift between Lalu Prasad’s two sons, potentially posing new challenges for the RJD as the Assembly elections approach.
Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav proceeded with the Voter Adhikar Yatra on Monday, engaging in public meetings and arriving in Gaya that evening.
On Tuesday, the Yatra is set to advance to Nawada district, where leaders of the INDIA bloc will raise awareness regarding voter rights and accuse the Election Commission and the BJP of engaging in “vote chori (vote theft).”
