Tejashwi Accuses Bureaucrats of Overruling Nitish Kumar

Patna, Dec 6 (NationPress) Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, asserted on Friday that bureaucrats are exerting control over Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, preventing him from voicing his thoughts.
The RJD leader accused CM Nitish of lacking the ability to establish his authority and being silenced in both the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council.
He pointed out that the governance of CM Nitish has been diminished to a mere spectacle dominated by officials.
Tejashwi also criticized Kumar’s forthcoming Mahila Samvad Yatra, which focuses on women’s outreach, describing it as a lavish misuse of public resources.
“A staggering Rs 250 crore is being allocated for this initiative, which he labeled as an officer's plundering journey,” he asserted.
“If our party secures power in 2025, we will offer 200 units of free electricity to residents,” declared the former deputy Chief Minister.
Additionally, he committed to enhancing welfare pensions, including those for widows, as part of his governance vision.
Regarding Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh’s 'Hindu Swabhiman Yatra', the RJD leader dismissed it as mere political theatrics.
Tejashwi claimed that crime and corruption are at unprecedented levels in Bihar.
“No government office work can be accomplished without a bribe. The Nitish Kumar government suffers from widespread administrative inefficiency and corruption,” he remarked.
He vehemently condemned the governance situation in Bihar under CM Nitish and directed his criticism toward the BJP at both state and national scales.
He highlighted the contradiction of CM Nitish’s longstanding plea for special state status for Bihar, which the BJP has “blatantly dismissed.”
In response to the farmers' 'Delhi Chalo' call, Tejashwi lambasted the Central government for failing to keep its word.
“Prime Minister Modi pledged to double farmers’ income but instead focused on loan waivers for capitalists. The Prime Minister has not addressed the concerns of protesting farmers. This reflects a central government's indifference towards the agricultural community,” he stated.
