Tejashwi Yadav Lashes Out at Nitish Kumar's Administration Over CHO Paper Leak

Patna, Dec 3 (NationPress) The cancellation of the Community Health Officer (CHO) examination in Bihar following a question paper leak has ignited a political uproar, with opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav strongly condemning the government on Tuesday.

The situation has escalated due to revelations from the Economic Offences Unit (EOU) investigation, indicating a vast scale of corruption, with claims that those involved in the leak aimed to profit as much as Rs 100 crore.

The examination was meant to recruit around 4,500 CHOs. The leak has now led to its cancellation, further damaging the credibility of the recruitment process in Bihar.

Investigators have disclosed that the individuals behind the leak intended to make substantial illicit profits, highlighting systemic problems and organized malpractice.

Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition, accused Nitish Kumar's government and its ally, BJP, of complicity in the scandal. He pointed out the alleged financial motivations and systemic failures that allowed such malpractice to occur.

Yadav raised a critical question about why numerous paper leak incidents seem to be connected to Nalanda, a district often associated with the Bihar Chief Minister.

In a post on X in Hindi, Yadav stated, "...Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and BJP aimed to earn Rs 100 crore by leaking the paper in the recruitment exam for the posts, but when an audio surfaced and news broke, they had to cancel the paper. Now, the BJP-JD(U) government claims they have been dealt a blow; Rs 100 crore extorted from the exam mafia will have to be compensated by leaking papers in future exams. The NDA government is jeopardizing the present and future of Bihar's youth. The Chief Minister will never address the paper leak issue."

During the ongoing investigation, the EOU has identified two conspirators—Ravi Bhushan and Atul Prabhakar—as key figures in the conspiracy, reportedly coordinating the leak in collusion with officials from the examination-conducting company and exam centers. The involvement of these mafias indicates a deeply rooted network, according to sources.

The mafia allegedly gained unauthorized access to computers at 12 selected exam centers. These centers were part of a pre-arranged scheme to facilitate the paper leak and subsequent tampering with the examination process.

A joint team of the EOU and Bihar Police carried out raids across various cities, including Patna, Nalanda, Muzaffarpur, Gaya, and Bihar Sharif. Ravi Bhushan is currently evading capture, but efforts are underway to apprehend him and dismantle the broader network involved, according to officials.

The EOU investigation suggests that this is not a standalone incident but a large-scale scam aimed at manipulating the recruitment process for financial gain.
