Patna, July 14 (NationPress) A political uproar has unfolded in Bihar after Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav referred to the Election Commission's 'source' as 'urine' during a media briefing.
This remark has incited vigorous responses from NDA leaders, including Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, who accused Tejashwi of exhibiting 'panic' and 'nervousness' as elections approach.
During a press conference organized by the Mahagathbandhan, a journalist queried Tejashwi regarding reports, attributed to 'sources,' that indicated the presence of foreign nationals from Myanmar, Nepal, and Bangladesh on Bihar's voter list amid the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR).
Tejashwi, dismissing the suggestion, questioned the origin of such information and, upon being informed that it was from 'sources,' quipped, 'We regard such sources as urine.'
In a pointed response, Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary took to X, asserting that Tejashwi's remarks reflected 'irritation, panic, restlessness, and trembling.'
He labeled Tejashwi as a 'Loudmouth,' remarking, 'Every time Tejashwi takes the microphone, his nervousness is evident on his face and tremors in his voice.'
Choudhary further noted there are 'serious reasons' for Tejashwi's visible unease, stemming from the pressure of facing electoral defeat and the internal family strife caused by his attempts to dominate the party under dynastic politics.
He added, 'Regardless of how much these individuals, united for loot, masquerade in lies, a rift among them is inevitable in the coming months,' hinting at potential discord within the Mahagathbandhan coalition.
The Election Commission of India is presently engaged in revising the voter list in Bihar, with enumeration forms being gathered between June 25 and July 25.
This process has spotlighted tensions, with the opposition alleging irregularities while the ruling NDA accuses the opposition of hindering the constitutional process for political advantage.
Tejashwi Yadav's contentious statement has provided the NDA with a new opportunity to challenge the RJD, intensifying the political narrative in Bihar as the state prepares for the upcoming assembly elections.
