Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari issued an order allowing these employees to exit their offices an hour earlier throughout the holy month, which is set to commence on March 1 or March 2, contingent on the moon sighting.

The order states, "The government hereby allows all Muslim government employees, teachers, contract workers, outsourcing staff, board members, corporations, and public sector employees in the state to leave their offices and schools by 4 p.m. during the holy month of RAMZAN, specifically from March 2 to 31 (both dates inclusive), to participate in necessary prayers, except when their presence is crucial due to service exigencies during this period."

In addition, the Minorities Welfare Department is making extensive preparations at the historic Makkah Masjid and Shahi Masjid (Royal Mosque) for the month of Ramzan.

As in previous years, comprehensive facilities will be provided for worshippers at the mosques.

Special provisions are being arranged for Taraweeh, the nightly prayers conducted during this month.

The department has announced that 2,250 kg of premium quality Khajoor (dates) will be supplied to the Makkah Masjid, Charminar, Royal Mosque, Nampally, and Secretariat Mosque, based on the requirements outlined by the District Minority Welfare Officer, Hyderabad.

Special Secretary of the Minorities Welfare Department, Tafseer Iqubal, and Director of Minorities Welfare, Yasmeen Basha, have evaluated the arrangements.

The Minorities Welfare Department has also authorized the organization of the Jalsa Youm-ul-Quran every Friday at Makkah Masjid.

Furthermore, the Telangana Waqf Board has allocated funds to cover the outstanding monthly honorarium for imams and muezzins, releasing Rs 15.37 crore to settle two months of arrears for 10,700 imams and muezzins across the state.

This financial support has been granted in light of the holy month of Ramzan.

Imams and muezzins receive a monthly honorarium of Rs 5,000, which had not been disbursed for the past four months. Following requests from various sectors, the Telangana Waqf Board has finally released these funds.
