Telangana Chief Minister Submits Information for Caste Survey

Hyderabad, Nov 28 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Telangana, A. Revanth Reddy, took a significant step on Thursday by submitting his information for the ongoing caste, social, economic, educational, employment, and political survey in the state.

The details were officially documented at his residence located in Jubilee Hills.

In attendance were Hyderabad Collector Anudeep Durishetty, GHMC Commissioner K. Ilambarithi, Chief Minister’s Special Secretary Ajith Reddy, among others.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister inquired about the survey's progress and the feedback received from the public.

Revanth Reddy directed officials to initiate a special drive targeting VVIPs, IAS, IPS, MPs, MLAs, and other public representatives within the Hyderabad limits to ensure their information is registered.

Additionally, he emphasized the importance of ensuring that government employees participate in the survey by registering their details.

The Chief Minister urged officials to take prompt action to complete the caste survey at the earliest.

On Tuesday, Reddy announced that 92 percent of the caste survey has been accomplished and reiterated the Congress party’s dedication to promoting social justice.

This extensive door-to-door survey commenced across Telangana on November 6 and aims to gather socio-economic, educational, employment, political, and caste data.

The survey is being conducted under the supervision of the Planning Department to facilitate the planning and implementation of various opportunities for the Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and other marginalized communities in the state.

The government has ensured that the information collected by enumerators will be kept confidential.

Nearly 95,000 enumerators and 10,000 supervisors are actively involved in the survey, with primary school teachers and other government employees serving as enumerators.

The Department has established 87,092 enumeration blocks, each consisting of 150 to 175 families. Each block is assigned one enumerator, with one supervisor for every ten enumerators.

The total number of families in the state stands at 1,17,44,954, including 28,32,490 families across 19,328 blocks within the GHMC limits.
