Hyderabad, Dec 3 (NationPress) Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy engaged with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Wednesday to extend a formal invitation for the 'Telangana Rising 2047 Global Summit' set to take place in Hyderabad next week, while also seeking the Centre’s backing for significant infrastructure projects.
During their discussion, the Chief Minister presented a special invitation to the Prime Minister for the Global Summit scheduled at Bharat Future City, Hyderabad on December 8 and 9.
As per the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka accompanied the Chief Minister for this meeting, held within the Parliament.
The Chief Minister showcased a specially designed invitation for the Global Summit, produced by the state government.
He elaborated that, in line with the Union Government’s 'Viksit Bharat 2047' objectives, Telangana is advancing with a robust vision geared towards achieving a $3-trillion economy by 2047. Correspondingly, the Telangana Rising 2047 Vision Document has been crafted to evaluate sector-wise growth targets and future development strategies.
The Vision Document, compiled with insights from NITI Aayog and consultations with various experts, is set for formal release during the Global Summit.
The Chief Minister called for comprehensive support and collaboration from the Centre for developmental projects under the Telangana Rising vision.
He implored the Prime Minister to approve the Phase-II expansion of the Hyderabad Metro Rail, highlighting that proposals have already been submitted for a network expansion covering 162.5 km at an estimated cost of ₹43,848 crore. He requested that this project be executed as a Joint Venture between the Centre and the State.
Additionally, the Chief Minister sought Cabinet approval and financial backing for the northern segment of the Hyderabad Regional Ring Road (RRR) and requested the Centre’s consent to initiate construction of the southern section. He urged the Prime Minister to prioritize the Regional Ring Rail project, proposed along the Regional Ring Road corridor, as soon as possible.
CM Revanth Reddy also emphasized the need for the Centre’s attention on the 12-lane Greenfield Express Highway connecting Hyderabad to Bandar Port via Amaravati, along with the Hyderabad–Bengaluru High-Speed Corridor.
Moreover, he submitted a request for the construction of a four-lane elevated corridor from Munnanur to Srisailam, traversing the Tiger Reserve, ensuring seamless connectivity from Hyderabad to the Srisailam pilgrimage center.
