Hyderabad/New Delhi, March 13 (NationPress) Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had a meeting with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar in the national capital on Thursday, where he requested assistance in organizing a variety of international events this year as part of the 'Telangana Rising' initiative.
He also asked for backing on several projects aimed at establishing Telangana as a global powerhouse over the next 25 years.
During his discussion with the External Affairs Minister, the Chief Minister provided details about notable international events planned by the Telangana government in Hyderabad for 2025, which include Miss World, the Global Deep Tech Summit, the Bharat Summit, and India Joy, highlighting Telangana’s prowess in the animation, gaming, and VFX sectors.
He stressed that these events will be vital in advancing the 'Telangana Rising' agenda and requested the Union government’s assistance in ensuring their success.
Revanth Reddy appealed to the External Affairs Minister for support in promoting 'Telangana Rising' through the successful execution of these international gatherings.
The Chief Minister also asked for help in showcasing 'Telangana Rising' in India’s overseas initiatives and for support in diplomatic relations and logistical aid for the events scheduled in Hyderabad.
The External Affairs Minister recognized Telangana as one of the fastest-growing states and assured his support for organizing such significant international events in Hyderabad, one of India’s rapidly evolving cities.
Former External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid, Lok Sabha members from Nagarkurnool and Bhuvanagiri Dr. Mallu Ravi and Kiran Kumar Reddy, as well as Rajya Sabha member Anil Kumar Yadav, were also in attendance.
Earlier, in a casual conversation with the media, the Chief Minister mentioned that delegates from 60 countries would be invited to the Bharat Summit, and former US President Barack Obama is expected to attend.
He also noted that Telangana will host the esteemed Miss World event, which will feature various activities throughout the month as part of the beauty pageant.
