Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy emphasized on Monday that complaints from elderly parents about inadequate care from their children must be treated seriously. He assured that the 10% salary deduction will be enforced to support the parents financially.

The government has earmarked ₹50 crore for this initiative and is also establishing daycare centers called 'Pranaam' for senior citizens.
A new healthcare policy is set to be introduced in the 2026-2027 budget, aimed at improving health services across the state.
The Chief Minister reiterated the government's commitment to enhancing healthcare for all residents and revealed plans to implement a new health policy in the upcoming budget.
Furthermore, transgender individuals will be nominated as Co-Option members in all Municipal Corporations during the next elections, ensuring representation for their issues.
He highlighted that various schemes have already been initiated for the welfare of persons with disabilities.
"Our administration operates from a humanitarian standpoint, striving to ensure that persons with disabilities are treated with dignity in society," he stated.
To empower individuals with disabilities, a special quota in education and employment has been established, along with a one-time ₹2 lakh assistance for newly married couples with disabilities.
The government is committed to providing opportunities across all sectors, ensuring that individuals with disabilities do not feel marginalized in a competitive environment, he noted, urging them to seize these opportunities.
The Chief Minister paid tribute to former Union Minister Jaipal Reddy, who became a role model for persons with disabilities, achieving great success despite his own challenges.
Reiterating the government’s dedication to social equity and equal chances for all, CM Revanth Reddy pointed out that the caste census recently conducted in Telangana serves as a model for other states. Following Telangana's initiative, the Union government has agreed to incorporate a caste census into the national census.
Additionally, the state is implementing SC classification to provide equal opportunities, he added.
