New Delhi, Nov 21 (NationPress) In response to the RJD's claim that nepotism has surged since the NDA assumed power in Bihar, BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain stated on Friday that the RJD should focus on its own situation, as it risks losing its status as Leader of the Opposition at any moment.
In an interview with IANS, Shahnawaz Hussain remarked, “Our government is in place, and the RJD has exhausted its arguments. Under the guidance of Nitish Kumar, a robust government has been established. Bihar now benefits from one of the most experienced Chief Ministers and cabinets. New and youthful faces are emerging. There’s a wave of optimism throughout Bihar, and with the support of the Prime Minister, the state is poised for progress.”
Addressing the RJD's assertion that ten NDA ministers hail from political families, Hussain commented, “The RJD's poor performance has led them to claim that ten leaders are from the same lineage. If a leader's child enters politics, it cannot simply be labeled as nepotism. BJP leaders possess talent and capability. While the RJD retains the position of Leader of the Opposition, I had anticipated their downfall. They secured only 25 seats compared to the NDA's over 200. It's possible that some RJD leaders might depart, risking their LoP status in the future. They should concentrate on their own issues.”
On Thursday evening, the RJD disclosed a list of ten ministers in the Nitish Cabinet whom they argued belong to political families. This list includes Santosh Sumit Manjhi, Samrat Chaudhary, Deepak Prakash, Shreyasi Singh, Rama Nishad, Vijay Chaudhary, Ashok Chaudhary, Nitin Nabin, Sunil Kumar, and Leshi Singh.
On Thursday, Nitish Kumar took his oath as Chief Minister of Bihar for the tenth time, marking a significant moment in state politics. Alongside him, 26 ministers were inducted into the newly formed NDA government.
The Cabinet features 14 ministers from the BJP, 8 from the JD(U), 2 from the LJP(RV), 1 from the RLM, and 1 from HAM. Notably, Samrat Choudhary has emerged as the second most powerful leader after Nitish Kumar.
