New Delhi, Nov 11 (NationPress) Political leaders from various parties have vehemently condemned the car explosion near Delhi’s Lal Quila Metro Station, calling for stringent measures against those accountable while emphasizing the ongoing investigations by security authorities.
JD(U) National Spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan stated, “Union Home Minister Amit Shah has visited the site of the incident. Officials from the NIA, forensic teams, and special units of the Delhi Police are actively present at the location. Soon, the organizations or individuals responsible for this incident will be identified, and strict action will be taken against them.”
BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain shared similar sentiments, noting, “The investigation into the terrorist attack in Delhi is progressing with all agencies involved. Home Minister Amit Shah has assessed the site. Those accountable will face justice. No conclusions can be drawn until the investigation concludes.”
Following the blast, security measures remain heightened around the Red Fort. JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha expressed his sorrow over the event, saying, “This is a deeply tragic situation... If it’s a terrorist act, the harshest measures should be enacted; the nation yearns for peace. My condolences to the grieving families.”
Congress leader Nana Patole condemned the attack, stating, “We categorically condemn this incident, and we pray for the strength of the families of the innocent victims of this blast. On another note, I wish to reference the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. We have always been against anyone who jeopardizes the nation’s security.”
RLM National President Upendra Kushwaha remarked, “This is undoubtedly tragic, but the relevant authorities are monitoring the situation closely, and the investigation is ongoing.”
Investigators have discovered that the Hyundai i20 car involved in the explosion was acquired from a second-hand dealer in Sector 37, Faridabad, Haryana.
The blast transpired on Monday evening near Gate No.1 of the Red Fort Metro Station, resulting in at least eight fatalities and numerous injuries. High alerts have been issued across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Mumbai, with enhanced security at crowded public areas and religious sites.
This incident followed closely after police dismantled a terror module associated with Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind in Faridabad, confiscating 2,900 kg of explosives and a significant cache of arms.
Authorities also detained two doctors from Jammu and Kashmir, Adil Ahmad Rather and Muzammil, connected to the module, which reportedly panicked and led to the Red Fort explosion.
Authorities are diligently reviewing CCTV footage and collecting evidence as the investigation progresses, striving to ensure justice for the victims and thwart any further security threats.
