Chennai, Oct 11 (NationPress) Tamil Nadu BJP spokesperson A.N.S. Prasad on Friday launched a strong critique against Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, accusing him of acting like "fascist tyrants" such as Hitler and Mussolini and disrespecting the people of Tamil Nadu by labeling political opponents as "slaves".
In a forcefully crafted statement, Prasad urged Udhayanidhi Stalin to answer Governor R.N. Ravi's inquiry - "Who is Tamil Nadu fighting against?" - instead of evading the matter by blaming what he referred to as the "fascist BJP".
Labeling the Deputy Chief Minister a "monarchic prince" of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin's dynastic regime, Prasad accused the DMK government of treating the citizens of Tamil Nadu like subjects within an "anarchic regime".
"The Deputy Chief Minister must understand that in a democracy, no one is a slave to anyone. His remarks expose the arrogance of power and the contempt with which the DMK regards the populace," Prasad expressed.
According to the BJP spokesperson, public dissatisfaction is escalating against what he described as the DMK's "anti-people governance model".
He noted that individuals who previously supported the party now "regret" their decision and are coming together to initiate a political transformation.
"The people of Tamil Nadu are uniting to liberate the state from DMK rule. The significant attendance of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) members at AIADMK leader Edappadi Palaniswami's meetings clearly highlights this trend. It has left the DMK restless," Prasad commented.
He accused Udhayanidhi Stalin of trying to distract from the DMK's "failures" by disseminating "fabricated news" about a potential Congress–TVK alliance.
"This political theatre has cast Udhayanidhi as the protagonist, delivering nonsensical lines like 'The hand will never leave us', in a futile attempt to reassure himself," Prasad remarked.
Referring to the Karur stampede tragedy that claimed 41 lives, Prasad alleged that Udhayanidhi Stalin exploited the disaster for media attention.
"Udhayanidhi rushed back from abroad, posed for photographs, and vanished again, leaving the people to endure suffering. His crocodile tears fool no one," he charged.
Additionally, Prasad condemned Udhayanidhi Stalin for branding the BJP a "fascist party", asserting that it is the DMK's history that showcases fascist inclinations.
"The BJP, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has achieved a historic third term and governs 19 states. The DMK, in contrast, exemplifies true fascism," he noted.
Taking a jab at the Deputy Chief Minister's recent comments regarding Governor Ravi, Prasad stated, "When the Governor posed a valid question - 'Who is Tamil Nadu fighting against?' - Udhayanidhi had no response. Instead, he indulged in political theatrics, proclaiming that Tamil Nadu is battling the Governor."
Accusing the DMK of misgovernance, Prasad claimed that Tamil Nadu is "crumbling under corruption, custodial deaths, political murders, rising electricity and property taxes, drug proliferation, and illicit liquor tragedies".
He urged the populace to unite against the "oppressive DMK regime".
"The DMK's propaganda against the Governor and BJP will rebound like a boomerang. If the remnants of the Dravidian model dare to label the BJP as fascist again, they will confront severe repercussions," he cautioned.
In conclusion, Prasad called on the DMK government to "govern with responsibility and appreciation until the elections", asserting that the people of Tamil Nadu are determined to end the party's rule in the upcoming Assembly elections.
