Coimbatore, Feb 22 (NationPress) The Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and DMK Youth Wing Secretary, Udhayanidhi Stalin, has launched a vehement critique of the BJP, emphasizing that the citizens of Tamil Nadu are poised to categorically reject the saffron party in the upcoming Assembly elections.
While addressing a gathering of DMK Youth Wing executives in the West Zone at Kaniyur, Coimbatore district, Udhayanidhi proclaimed that Tamil Nadu is ready to provide a robust political response to the BJP.
"During the Assembly elections, the people of Tamil Nadu will blacken the BJP’s face," he declared, inciting enthusiastic cheers from party supporters.
He commended Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, characterizing him as a pioneering figure in governance and politics for India.
"Leaders from various states agree that under our leader’s direction, we need to engage in a national democratic struggle against the BJP," he asserted.
In a critique of the opposition parties in the state, Udhayanidhi noted that some were conducting surveys without even being aware of the polling booth locations in Tamil Nadu.
He accused AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami of compromising his party’s autonomy, claiming, "For selfish political reasons, the AIADMK has been sold to the BJP."
The Deputy Chief Minister emphasized that the DMK is undeterred by central agencies or Prime Minister Modi.
"We are not intimidated by the ED or Modi. The BJP is using the elections as an excuse to obstruct developmental projects," he stated.
While criticizing Prime Minister Modi, Udhayanidhi said that his appearances on television induce anxiety among the public. He cited the abrupt announcements of the Covid-19 lockdown and demonetization, claiming both decisions led to widespread fear and hardship.
"The DMK government is one that provides for the people, while the BJP government takes from them," he charged.
He also targeted Union Home Minister Amit Shah, ridiculing his recent visit to Karaikal.
'You may try to beautify your image, but the people of Tamil Nadu will ensure your face is blackened in the Assembly elections,' he said.
Udhayanidhi Stalin dismissed speculation about the DMK's potential decline, stating, "Some individuals dream of dismantling our movement. But it is indestructible."
